3 Day Epic
July 18 to 20, 2008

The registration fee indicated on some printed material is incorrect. We apologize for the confusion. The fees on this website are correct.

Route Description
The 3-day Epic Tour travels a spectacular counter-clockwise loop from Canmore along the foothills to Sundre where it swings north through Rocky Mountain House, before curling back down to close the circuit. This truly is an epic ride with lots of elevation and scenery changes to keep it, well, interesting.

In the evening you will be greeted by the fine folks at Kids Cancer Care Alberta who will share stories of how your fundraising will improve the quality of life for brave children in your communities.

Choose your Distance
Each day you can choose from 3 distance targets. Let’s start with the monster. If you’re a pure mileage hog, you’ve come to the right trough. Feed on a whopping 612km in just 3 days! The full stages bite off 177km, 229km and 206km on consecutive days. Ouch.

For those with more refined palettes (and more common sense) you can opt for an impressive 100km per day or stretch it up to 175km on days 2 and 3. Decide over breakfast then hop on a shuttle bus to ride in style to the designated starting location.

All options are supported by patrol vehicles and tour marshals on bikes. There are well-stocked rest stops every 30 -100 km plenty of encouragement the entire way. Whatever your ability, you’re sure to share the journey with someone traveling at your speed.
